I have been recognized on National Public Radio, Disney Radio, and in the Oakland Tribune for my success in teaching children more than 2 years behind grade level to read. I spent two years teaching 6th, 7th, and 8th grade in Oakland, California through the nationally recognized Teach For America program.

As I learned how to teach these children to read and perform well in mathematics, I perfected the methods I use today in my Portland, Oregon tutoring services.
